If you want a good experience for your visit to Colca Canyon and enjoy a safe trek, we do not recommend to take this service if the same day you are planning to hike. The 3am bus is a heavy ride for our visitors and it can be an exausted expoerience. We are also not responsible for the reviews of our partners.

If you are a group of 4 to 6 people I can offer you a private transfer with our van from 8am to 11am, but this only can be arrange in advance.

Our Hostel Pachamama offers this transport from Arequipa to Cabanaconde at 3:10 am in order to be in Cabanaconde and stay at our hostel or explore the beautiful surroundings of the village.

Itinerary

The service starts to pick up from the Hostels from 3:10am to 3:30 am. Depends of your location of your hostel we pick you up at your hotel, just wait at the reception of your hotel. We start driving in direction to Colca Canyon and after 3hrs drive we stop in Chivay for a small breakfast and continue to Cruz del Condor where we will stay only for 30 minutes to observe these amazing birds, then we will finish in Cabanaconde village by 09:30am.

What is included?

This service only includes the Minivan Service (Minivan of max 20 people or sometime a bus of 30 people), breakfast in Chivay, the stops mentioned. A guide is optional on this service.

This service does not include Entrance fee to Colca Canyon (70 soles per person).

Why this service departs so early?

This service is used for most travel agencies who are going to trek and they do not have much time to explore Colca Canyon. I recommend our guests to use this service and stay in Cabanaconde to explore the village and relax, because we know that some people get sick while they hike. You can use this service and stay in town and you will get a better experience than rushing, next day you start your hike fresh and with lot of energy.

Other ways to reach Arequipa to Cabanaconde

You do not want to take this service then you have another ways to come to Cabanaconde:

You can take a local bus from the terminal of Arequipa and catch the only bus Andalucia at 13:00. This tickets can only be booked at the terminal. For more information check our update information for the buses

In order to ensure an organized tour after you have confirmed you have three options of payment:

▸ You can also make a transfer via Wester Union for a deposit.

▸ Payment can also be made via Transfer to our Peruvian Bank which it may takes from 4 to 7 days

▸ 90 – 31 Days prior to the start of your arrangement, administration fee which is 20%

▸ 30 – 6 Days prior to the start of your arrangement 40% of total amount. You can move the date.

▸ 5 - 4 Days prior to the start of your arrangement 60% of total amount. You can move the date.

▸ 3 Days prior to the start of your arrangement 100 % of total amount. You can move the date.

▸ 2 – 0 Day of departure or no-show – 100% of total amount.
